One of the coolest thing about getting your work out there is positive feedback from some really neat people; people that you’d hoped you’d reach with your work. I received the nicest E Mail from an artist this morning about The Affluent Artist and he mentioned how much the concept of the book resonated with him. I’m going to tell you more about his work in a second, but I wanted to share some emotions that his letter triggered.
You know how it feels, I hope, when someone “gets you”. I’ve had it happen with people, you know, sometimes there is someone out there who gets your humor, sees important issues your way or just loves you unconditionally for who you are. As someone I know says, “they see your gift.” When you find that someone, you develop a bond that allows for an instant and maybe even life long friendship, we know those people are special, sent to us for a reason.
So, when you write a book for someone you don’t even know and they find you and grasp the message, it leaves you feeling humble and thankful. So that is my Thanksgiving gift this year, my message is reaching people. The message of The Affluent Artist is not that you can make a million dollars selling art, training dolphins or being a great actor. I mean, you can, I know lots of people who have. Instead, the message of TAA is that we have enough money and financial type people out there, we need creative people to create. That’s God’s gift to you your creativity. The message of TAA is simply to get over the guilt and shame about not knowing a lot about money, YOU AREN”T SUPPOSED TO! Allow money, welcome it, be open to the possibility that you will get what you need, the God who gives you unlimited creativity wants you to have abundance too!
The Affluent Artist is an invitation to abundance through creativity. It gives you financial stuff you’ve just got to know, career paths and financial planning advice and interviews with creatives at various stages of their career paths. It’s the financial book written for you, to encourage you to be even more creative, to allow money to be one more color on your palette.
So now, about my new amazing friend! Keith Goodson is an artist who will leave a mark on eternity. I know he will, because that is his intention each time he picks up a brush. His photorealism is astounding and I can’t wait until I can make the short drive down to Sebring, Florida to see his work in person. Rather than the financial guy trying to be the art critic, I’m just going to show you his amazing paintings. His work can be seen at: http://www.keithgoodsonstudios.com/
I hope you love his work and send all your friends to his website, this work, in my opinion, needs to be supported, it is AMAZING! I can’t believe that these are paintings!
